From Murder 24/7 to 24 Hours in Police Custody, true crime fans are constantly adding to their watch list.However, there is one series that is available to stream on BBC iPlayer that many are only just discovering now.The six part series, titled Red Flag, can be streamed in full on iPlayer, with episodes also being available to watch on streaming service U as well as Channel 4.Red Flag is a true crime documentary series that explores the dangerous sides of modern dating as it hears from real life survivors of women who were targeted by conmen or abusers. It first aired in 2024 on U (formerly UKTV) , but true crime fans are only just discovering it as it finds a new home on BBC iPlayer.A synopsis reads: "Love shouldn’t feel like fear. The real life stories of people who have been catfished, gaslit and abused by seemingly perfect partners - shared as a warning by those who survived."Watching the series recently, one person said on a TikTok video: "I started watching last night and I had tears from the start these poor ladies it's heartbreaking what they've been through."Another replied: "Watched it 1st episode is heartbreaking", as a third commented: "I've binged this today after seeing it and wow."Elsewhere, a fourth said: "One of the best true crime genres has just released a new series out on the BBC, it is the genre of true crime that we all love but scares us to death." They later added: "It sounds like it's going to be a horrific and tough watch, however I bet it's going to be good, I bet we will learn something."One person suggested: "They should let students watch this in secondary schools powerful series 1 traumatic but it could save lives literally." In another video, one true crime fan said the show was a "heartbreaking, but must watch".It was previously reported that MAFS UK expert Paul C Brunson would front a brand new series of the show, which will be released on U which will see him chat to survivors of toxic relationships as they unpack the red flags that tore them apart.At the time, Paul said: "Red Flag is an important series that shines a spotlight on manipulative behaviour that a lot of us think we will never fall victim to."The stories explored in this series are deeply personal and I am honoured that the contributors are willing to share their experiences with me and U viewers.
