MANILA, Philippines – The 11th day of Vice President Sara Duterte’s impeachment trial on Monday centered on testimony from Commission on Audit auditor Roderick Wamil, who told senator-judges that he served in the COA’s Intelligence and Confidential Funds Audit Office from 2014 to 2024 and that neither former Vice Presidents Jejomar Binay nor Leni Robredo had confidential fund allocations.
Wamil said he conducted CF audits only for Duterte’s Office of the Vice President and her Department of Education precisely because previous occupants of those offices had no such appropriations.

Private prosecutor Lorna Kapunan opened the session by presenting 15 boxes of documents labeled “confidential funds” and told the court that Wamil alone would identify 50 exhibits, covering 3,664 documents including 3,617 acknowledgment receipts. FEATURED STORIES
