A special team from the city police’s South Sub-Division arrested Ummar Navaz, 33, a resident of Manjeshwar in Kerala, who had been absconding for seven years. As many as 30 non-bailable warrants were pending against him for failing to appear before trial courts.According to a press release, Navaz was accused in 13 criminal cases. Following his failure to appear in three criminal cases registered at the Ullal police station, a jurisdictional court had issued a proclamation ordering him to appear before it. In one case registered at the same station, the court had declared it a long-pending case.The team traced Navaz on Sunday and arrested him.
