American Bitcoin, the mining company approximately 20% owned by Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr., has been on a buying spree. The firm, which trades on NASDAQ under the ticker ABTC, has been steadily stacking Bitcoin through both mining operations and direct market purchases, building one of the larger corporate Bitcoin treasuries in the industry.

By mid-2026, American Bitcoin’s holdings reportedly exceeded 8,000 BTC, positioning the company alongside other corporate treasury heavyweights that have made Bitcoin accumulation a core business strategy.

The numbers behind the accumulation

In Q1 2026 alone, the firm mined roughly 817 BTC and purchased around 803 BTC at an average price of approximately $76,000 per coin. That brought their total holdings to about 7,021 BTC at the time, up from approximately 5,400 BTC at the end of 2025.

To fund this expansion, American Bitcoin raised $220 million in a funding round back in June 2025, netting about $215 million after costs. That capital was earmarked for two things: buying more Bitcoin and upgrading mining equipment.
