A woman teacher of a government elementary school at Chinnandankoil in Karur district was placed under suspension on Monday on charges of assaulting the headmistress of the same school in front of the children recently. A clip of the incident went viral prompting the authorities to take action against the teacher..A School Education Department official said the incident occurred last Thursday. Headmistress Bhuvana was handling a class when the teacher Kalaimathi assaulted her in front of the children.The teacher attacked the headmistress as she had complained to the Block Educational Officer about her not taking classes properly prompting an inquiry.
