A head constable attached to Raidurgam police station in Cyberabad has been suspended for allegedly neglecting an emergency Dial-100 complaint after he failed to respond to a road accident call near IKEA in Gachibowli.Cyberabad Police Commissioner M. Ramesh suspended head constable Syed Younus (HC-661) following an inquiry into the incident that occurred around midnight on August 1.According to officials, two cars collided near IKEA and one of the victims contacted Dial-100 twice seeking police assistance. However, the head constable, who was on duty at the time, allegedly did not visit the accident spot and closed both complaints by marking them as “caller nuisance”.The matter was brought to the notice of the Commissioner, who ordered immediate suspension of the head constable for negligence in duty.
