A 39-year-old man has died after he was allegedly run over by a municipal water tanker in Adams Mission, eMbumbulu, prompting a culpable homicide investigation by police and an internal probe by the eThekwini Municipality.
Graphic footage of the incident has since gone viral.
The fatal incident occurred in Ward 96 on Sunday, August 2, 2026, at Nkanyisweni in Adams Mission.
According to police, the victim was rushed to hospital after the incident but later succumbed to his injuries.
