Residents of Amargol village rescued over 40 passengers from a bus operated by the North Western Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (NWKRTC) that veered in to a field in Dharwad district on Sunday.The incident occurred due to a tyre burst, and the driver lost control of the vehicle. The bus was heading to Vijayapura from Hubballi. All the passengers escaped with minor injuries, the police said.The residents rushed to the spot immediately and helped the passengers get out through the windows, the police said.
