Cato Networks launches Agentic Threat Prevention to counter AI-assisted attacks

Networking and security company Cato Networks Ltd. today introduced Cato Agentic Threat Prevention, a capability that uses autonomous agents to predict the route an attacker is likely to take through a customer’s network. Protections for that specific environment are then generated and enforced before the attack advances.

The feature runs on Cato’s cloud-native platform, which already pulls network and security telemetry from every customer. That shared context is what the agents draw on. Enforcement happens at every Cato point of presence, with no service chaining required.

Cato is pitching the launch against a shift in how attacks are run. Frontier artificial intelligence models have cut the time between finding a vulnerability and weaponizing it, and the company said attackers using them can scan millions of environments at once and produce working exploits within hours. Campaigns run in parallel across thousands of targets. No human has to be watching.

“Yesterday’s security cannot stop today’s AI-powered attacks,” said Shlomo Kramer, co-founder and chief executive of Cato Networks. “Prediction is the new prevention.” Kramer said the aim is to anticipate where an attack moves next and put protections in place before it gets there.
