D-Wave and Nasdaq Verafin announced an agreement to explore the use of quantum computing for financial crime detection through a proof-of-concept project.
The collaboration will evaluate D-Wave’s annealing quantum computing technology for identifying complex patterns across transaction activity, account relationships, and counterparty networks.
The initial project will examine how quantum-hybrid approaches could support predictive models for detecting fraud, scams, and money laundering risks.
