SpaceX is doing something it has never done before: opening its books to the public. The company is set to release its first quarterly earnings report on August 4, 2026, and the significance of the moment extends well beyond whatever numbers land on the page.
The numbers behind the curtain
SpaceX’s pre-IPO financials paint a picture of a company growing fast but burning cash even faster. Consolidated revenue for 2025 came in at roughly $18 billion to $18.7 billion. The net loss, however, sat at approximately $5 billion.
Q1 2026 revenue grew 15% year-over-year compared to the same period in 2025.
The stock has not had a smooth ride since SpaceX’s June 2026 IPO. Shares hit new lows heading into the earnings release, reflecting a mix of investor caution and an impending lockup expiration that could flood the market with insider shares.
