The CHEMINA team has been busy this summer between conferences, events, and birthday parties. Check out what we've been up to!We had the opportunity to host several academics for engaging and useful seminars to the team, including Prof. Wei-Ssu Liao from the National Taiwan University, Prof. Naoki Sasaki from the Rikkyo University in Japan, and Darius Hoven, a PhD student from Roisin Owens' lab at Cambridge University who is collaborating CHEMINA team members on integrating serotonin sensing interfaced with organoids.In June, the CHEMINA team attended the "Targeting Parkinson's" event organized by the EPFL's BioSense team, which included interesting talks from experts, including Prof. Nakatsuka, and patient testimonies. Members from BioSense are working on their project with the support of the CHEMINA lab and it was a great opportunity to witness the progress they achieved in the past few months!The CHEMINA team was also present in many conferences throughout the past couple of months, including the GRC Bioanalytical Sensors in Boston, USA and the International Conference in Electroanalysis in Lisbon, Portugal where Lianxin Xu, one of our PhD students, presented a poster on his work improving the reproducibility of silane chemistry on nanopipettes.Finally, we got to celebrate Marc's, Jessica's and Daria's birthdays!© 2026 EPFL© 2026 EPFL© 2026 EPFL© 2026 EPFL© 2026 EPFL
