His attacker has yet to be identified, while his enemy Joe Tate is currently suspect number one.‌With it yet to be revealed if Billy, who is in a coma, will pull through, his loved ones are waiting for news. With Monday's episode seeing his fate still up in the air, actor Jay teased his soap future.‌Giving nothing away, he told the Mirror that it might not end well for the character. He said: "I think it's touch and go, massively for Billy. I think we don't really know how it's going to swing."Whether he's going to pull through, whether this is it for him. It's a big shock as well, like it's just come out of nowhere. So it's going to be interesting to find out what necessarily has happened and why, as well."‌Jay also warned there could be some twists and turns ahead in terms of what happened to Billy. He said: "Definitely expect some real twists and turns with how the story might pan out."The actor also joked it was hard work playing the coma scenes, as he kept messing things up for the crew. He explained: "It was really hard work to play! I didn't really know what to do."To be quite honest, there was one moment when I was actually doing the coma stuff, where they wired me up, and within two minutes I said I needed the toilet. So they had to unwire me, I had to go to the toilet, come back, get wired up again.‌"Someone said to me, 'Don't ask to go to the toilet again.' Within ten minutes, I needed the toilet! So it was a bit of a nightmare, which is surprising."It comes as Joe actor Ned Porteous told the Mirror about his character being a suspect. Teasing whether he's to blame, Ned said: "I think Joe has it in him to do a whole bunch of things.‌"I think the beauty of this character, and the fun I've been having with the character, is the duality between his capabilities for great good and great evil. I think as a thematic tool, Joe, and characters like Joe, are extremely useful for the screenwriters, because we can see that he is a good dude, but he has no practice at it."He's volatile, he has a complete lack of control of his emotions.
