Workplace claims filed by self-represented litigants have exploded in the Federal Court, more than doubling over the past year as artificial intelligence supercharges employee actions against businesses and creates a major headache for judges forced to sift through pages of AI slop.

General protections claims in the Federal Circuit Court, which include unlawful dismissal, have had their steepest annual rise, driven by an acceleration in applicants representing themselves with the help of AI.
