MANILA, Philippines – Former Speaker and incumbent Leyte 1st District Rep. Martin Romualdez’s lawyer on Sunday said his client is ready to face the Office of the Ombudsman’s preliminary probe on his alleged involvement in the flood control controversy.
Atty. Ade Fajardo said Romualdez will answer all the allegations against him, stressing that all the lawmaker is asking for is fairness.

We are preparing for the preliminary investigation and Congressman Romualdez will answer that,” Fajardo said in a dzMM interview, as quoted by Romualdez’s office in a statement.
