They are equipped with radar systems and missile interceptors capable of countering Iranian ballistic missiles and drones.EUCOM is responsible for protecting Israel from the Mediterranean and deterring any Russian ground incursion into NATO member states.The US Navy has five destroyers deploying from Rota, Spain, with a sixth expected later this year. They face maintenance issues due to lengthy missions.
