On August 2, drones attacked the Bashneft-UNPZ oil refinery, located more than 1,700 kilometers from the Ukrainian border.

According to Ukrinform, the ASTRA Telegram channel stated this in a post.

Using eyewitness footage of the attack, an OSINT analyst from ASTRA determined that the target was the Bashneft-UNPZ oil refinery in Ufa.

The Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, reported a massive drone attack on industrial facilities in the region. According to him, 25 drones were shot down, but one UAV was destroyed over an industrial zone, causing a fire.

The Bashneft company operates three major oil refineries in Ufa's Northern Industrial Zone, located in close proximity to each other: Bashneft-Ufaneftekhim, Bashneft-Novoil, and Bashneft-UNPZ.
