CALASIAO, Pangasinan — Two fishermen were killed and another was wounded after an improvised explosive device they were allegedly using for illegal fishing prematurely exploded in the waters off Dasol, Pangasinan on Saturday afternoon, August. 1.
The fatalities and the survivor were identified as residents of Zambales province, according to the Pangasinan Provincial Police Office.
Initial investigation showed that several fishermen were operating in the area when they heard a loud explosion at sea.
When they traced the source of the blast, they found the three fishermen injured in the water and immediately rescued them.
