American Samoa Governor Pulaali‘i Nikolao Pula and Samoa Prime Minister La‘aulialemalietoa Leauatea Polataivao Fosi Schmidt have agreed to hold the next Atoa o Samoa talks in Samoa during the third week of October.
The agreement was reached during an official meeting in Apia following the governor's arrival in Samoa with his wife, First Lady Lois Pula, and his delegation.
Governor Pula highlighted the growing concern over illicit drugs affecting both American Samoa and Samoa, stressing the need for the two governments to work together to address the issue.
He also raised matters relating to travel, technology and trade.
The American Samoa committee for the Atoa o Samoa talks has identified and organised the key issues that will be discussed during the bilateral meeting.
