Air defense forces shot down 109 of the 133 drones used by Russian invaders to attack Ukraine beginning on the evening of August 1.

According to Ukrinform, the Ukrainian Air Force reported this on Telegram.

Starting at 6:00 p.m. on August 1, the enemy launched 133 attack drones—including Shahed-type drones (some of which were jet-powered), “Gerbera,” “Italmas,” ‘Banderol’ loitering munitions, and “Parody”-type decoy drones from the directions of Orel, Kursk (Russia), the temporarily occupied city of Donetsk, and Hvardiyske (Crimea).

The air attack was repelled by the Ukrainian Air Force, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
