The publication of the nomination forms forms part of INEC's statutory process for the 2027 general election, enabling members of the public and interested parties to examine the credentials and other particulars submitted by candidates before the conclusion of the nomination process.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has published the personal particulars, academic credentials and supporting documents submitted by the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Peter Gregory Obi, and his running mate, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, as part of the nomination process for the 2027 presidential election.

The documents, contained in the statutory affidavit in support of particulars of persons seeking election, were displayed by the electoral commission on Saturday in line with the provisions of the Electoral Act, allowing members of the public to scrutinise the credentials of candidates seeking elective office.

According to the documents, Obi, who is contesting for the office of President on the platform of the NDC, declared that he was born on July 19, 1961, in Onitsha, Anambra State, and is 65 years old.

He listed his residential address as 22A Niger Drive, GRA, Onitsha, Onitsha North Local Government Area of Anambra State, while stating his occupation as "Public Servant."
