The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has commenced the public display of the personal particulars, academic credentials and statutory documents submitted by presidential candidates contesting the 2027 general election.
The exercise, which began on Saturday in accordance with the Electoral Act, features documents submitted by President Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and his running mate, Vice President Kashim Shettima.
The documents, displayed in Form EC9 at INEC offices nationwide, contain the candidates' educational qualifications, personal particulars, work history, affidavits and other supporting credentials required for nomination.
Copies of President Tinubu's Form EC9 showed that he submitted a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Business Administration from Chicago State University, United States. His academic transcript indicated that the degree was awarded "with honours" on June 22, 1979.
