The Diocese announced the development on Saturday in a statement signed by its Chancellor, Very Rev. Fr. Joseph Itodo, describing the seminarian's return as an answer to prayers offered by Christians and supporters during his captivity.
A Catholic seminarian of the Otukpo Diocese in Benue State, Kelvin Ochai, has regained his freedom after escaping from the den of the gunmen who abducted him in Asa III, Otukpo Local Government Area.
The Diocese confirmed on Saturday that he safely reunited with his family after making his way to Aliade in neighbouring Gwer East Local Government Area.

Itodo stated that Ochai escaped from his abductors on Friday evening and trekked to Aliade in Gwer East Local Government Area, where he was reunited with his family without suffering any injuries.
