Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) accused President Donald Trump on Friday of endangering Americans through the Iran war, citing troop casualties, rising prices and cyberattacks on U.S. infrastructure, and urged Republicans to help end the conflict.

Schumer wrote on X on Saturday, “Hundreds of servicemembers injured, 18 dead, skyrocketing prices—now cyberattacks on the Homeland. The GOP needs to stand up to this lunacy and work with us to end this dangerous and unnecessary war.”
The fresh criticism follows confirmation from the FBI and Environmental Protection Agency that at least seven states have reported cyberattacks on water utility systems since Monday. The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) said hackers are “targeting water entities of all sizes,” triggering boil-water notices in some areas.
Minnesota and Michigan have both confirmed intrusions, according to a New York Times report on Saturday. No drinking water has been altered, officials said, but the attacks struck industrial control systems that manage chemical treatment and water pressure.
