The invaders will recruit young people from the temporarily occupied territory of Luhansk region to participate in “military-patriotic” training camps, during which they will be taught military skills and encouraged to enlist in the Russian Armed Forces.
This was reported by Oleksii Kharchenko, head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
“During three weeks in August, young people from the occupied Luhansk region will take part in the ‘Guardsman-2026’ military-patriotic training camp in Penza. The Russians will prepare these young men and women for war and encourage them to join the army,” Kharchenko wrote.

According to him, participants will study basic military disciplines, familiarize themselves with modern weapons and military equipment, learn to operate drones, and undergo general military and parachute training. Field exercises at a training ground are also planned.
