…to commission the factory in the first quarter of 2027

Cardinal Touch Company Ltd., a Nigerian agro-commodity trader, is expanding into cashew processing with a N4.5 billion investment in a new factory in Shagamu.

The plant, which will have a 10-tonne daily processing capacity, marks the company’s shift from exporting raw commodities to value-added products.

David Olurin, managing director and CEO of Cardinal Touch, at a media parley on Friday, said that the N4.5 billion cashew processing plant will be commissioned in the first quarter of 2027.

“We’re moving from just exporting raw cashews to processing them locally,” he said. “The intention is to process cashews up to semi-processed and ready-to-eat products,” he explained.
