Manish Agarwal on Saturday assumed charge as the General Manager of Integral Coach Factory (ICF).Agarwal succeeds U Subba Rao, who has assumed charge as General Manager of Southern Railway.An officer of the Indian Railways Service of Mechanical Engineers (IRSME) batch of 1989, Agarwal has over 35 years of distinguished service in Indian Railways, serving in various capacities across the length and breadth of the country, says a release.Before assuming charge as General Manager of ICF, Agarwal was on deputation as Principal Executive Director (Mechanical) at Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL), a Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Railways, at the Corporate Office in New Delhi. In this position, he was instrumental in establishing rolling stock maintenance infrastructure at various locations across India, the release said.Earlier, he served as Divisional Railway Manager of Tiruchirappalli Division on Southern Railway, Chief Workshop Manager at the Coach Rehabilitation Workshop, Bhopal, and General Manager (Mechanical) at IRCON International Limited, another Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Railways, headquartered at New Delhi, says the release.Published on August 1, 2026
