There is a line that appears under a lot of tracked emails. Sent with something. Tracked by something. A small logo, sometimes a link. It is the price of the free tier on several email tracking tools, and it is charged to the wrong person: not to you, to the person you wrote to.
I build one of these tools and mine does not do this, so read this as an interested account. I have tried to keep the argument checkable independently of who is making it.
What the line actually announces
Read it from the recipient's side, once, slowly.
They opened a message from you. At the bottom, under your name, there is a sentence they did not expect that tells them the message was sent through a tool that watches what they do with it. They did not learn that you track your emails. They learned it from your email, in the middle of reading it.
