Alhaji Teslim Igbalaye, the Secretary to Osun State Government, has been released from police custody, the state Police Command disclosed.

Abiodun Ojelabi, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), who confirmed the release on Thursday, said: “The SSG has been released.”

Reacting, Pelumi Olajengbesi, the spokesperson of The Imole Campaign Council (TICC), in a statement, expressed appreciation to Tunji Disu, the Inspector-General of Police and Ibrahim Gotan, the Osun State Commissioner of Police, for listening to the voice of the people.

According to the statement, “We sincerely appreciate the Inspector General of Police and the Commissioner of Police, Osun State Command, for listening to the voice of reason despite pressure and for responding to the people’s demand regarding the unlawful arrest of the Secretary to the State Government, Chief Igbalaye Teslim.
