A 27-year-old habitual offender, who allegedly financed his online cricket betting and alcohol addiction by targeting train passengers, was arrested by the Government Railway Police (GRP) and the Railway Protection Force (RPF) at Secunderabad Railway Station on Friday. Police recovered 63 grams of melted gold and ornaments worth about ₹9.45 lakh linked to nine cases from his possession.The accused, identified as Limba alias Limba Rathod, a resident of Krishna Nagar in Secunderabad and a native of Yadgir district in Karnataka, was apprehended under suspicious circumstances on Platform No. 4 of Secunderabad Railway Station.According to the police, Limba preyed on passengers carrying valuables, taking advantage of crowded platforms and unattended luggage.
