CyrusOne has filed to develop three buildings for a new data center campus in Fairfield, Texas, located next to Calpine’s Freestone natural gas power plant.
Construction permits have been filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation for three buildings at the campus, located on the FM 488 highway in Fairfield, Freestone County, Texas, around 90 miles (144.8km) south of Dallas.

Data center company CyrusOne has partnered with Calpine LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Constellation Energy Corporation, and the operator of the Freestone Energy Campus, on this 760MW data center project. Full details of the project hadn't previously been announced.
Set to cost $1.5 billion, the data centers will be powered by the Freestone Energy Campus 1GW natural gas-fired combined-cycle facility, which covers approximately 506 acres.
