MANILA, Philippines — Rizal Commercial Banking Corp. (RCBC) extended its P1 LRT-2 fare promotion for MySSS Cardholders through Aug. 31, aiming to sustain the shift toward digital fare payments after strong early uptake.
The lender said Friday the month-long extension follows the rollout of the Automated Fare Collection System on LRT-2, developed with the Department of Transportation, the Light Rail Transit Authority, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas and Visa.

RCBC said the number of unique MySSS Card users tapping into the LRT-2 payment system surged 95 percent within two weeks of the promotion’s launch, while total transit transactions climbed 57 percent.FEATURED STORIES
