United States Central Command (CENTCOM) has dismissed three recent claims by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) regarding military actions against US forces as “false.”
In a post on its official X account, CENTCOM stated that no US aircraft, including F-35 fighter jets, were destroyed or damaged during recent Iranian attacks. The command added that all incoming missiles and drones were either intercepted or failed to reach their intended targets.
CENTCOM also rejected the IRGC’s assertion that international shipping lanes in the Strait of Hormuz are unsafe due to external forces, stating that the primary threat to commercial vessels and civilian crews stems directly from IRGC intimidation and attacks.
Additionally, in response to Iranian media reports claiming that the oil tanker Nora breached a US naval blockade, CENTCOM stated that the vessel did not break through. The command emphasised that more than 20 warships, hundreds of aircraft, and thousands of US personnel continue to fully enforce the blockade.
