MALAY, Aklan — Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. said an alleged P8-million debt was connected to the killing of vlogger Alicia “Mima Alicia” Lipata, reportedly a supporter of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
Police investigators identified and charged at least two masterminds, identified only as a businessman and their partner, over Lipata’s killing, Nartatez told reporters on the sidelines of a symposium on Boracay Island in this town on Friday.
“They have a personal grudge that started over a debt,” he explained. “As of now, that is the motive… Mima was one in debt.”
