MALAY, Aklan — Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. said investigators were looking into possible links between the improvised explosive devices (IEDs) recovered ahead of the State of the Nation Address (Sona) and similar cases in Mindanao.

“We need to crack down on that. We have good leads and our operatives, our detectives are in close coordination with the different law enforcement units to catch the perpetrators. It’s near,” Nartatez said during a symposium on Boracay Island in this town on Friday about IEDs.
