Deputy Defense Minister Cezary Tomczyk said the weapon was Russian. ‘We can confirm with full responsibility that it was a Russian Kh-101 missile—a cruise missile capable of carrying even nuclear warheads—which exploded on impact with the ground,” Tomczyk told private broadcaster TVN24. “It was a potentially very dangerous missile,” he added.
