Super Eagles forward, Paul Onuachu, has confirmed he will remain at Trabzonspor, ending months of transfer speculation despite interest from Turkish rivals, Saudi Arabian clubs and sides in Germany, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.

Onuachu’s decision comes after a season in which he scored 22 goals in 30 Süper Lig matches to finish as joint-top scorer and helped Trabzonspor win the Turkish Cup, form that attracted some of the biggest clubs in Türkiye and beyond.

Fenerbahçe reportedly tabled an offer worth €20m plus forward Oğuz Aydın, while Galatasaray, where compatriot Victor Osimhen plays, also joined the chase.

Beşiktaş were credited with interest as well, and Saudi Pro League clubs, Al-Ahli and Al Hilal, prepared substantial financial offers, with Trabzonspor reporting Al-Ahli to FIFA over an alleged approach made without the club’s permission. Bayer Leverkusen, Wolfsburg and Werder Bremen also monitored the striker’s situation from Germany.

Despite the scale of interest, Onuachu said his commitment to Trabzonspor never wavered.
