File: Aviation Minister, Festus Keyamo

The Federal Government has pledged its support for the successful take-off of Caliphate Airlines, the Sokoto State-backed commercial carrier expected to commence operations later this year.

Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, gave the assurance on Thursday while receiving a delegation from the Sokoto State Government at his office in Abuja.

The assurance was contained in a statement issued by the minister’s Special Adviser on Media and Communications, Tunde Moshood.

The delegation, led by the Chief of Staff to the Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Dikko, included the Secretary to the State Government, Mohammad Sifawa; Director of Operations of Caliphate Airlines, Oluwashina Agbelese; and the airline’s Account Manager, Abdulkarim Abioye.
