WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va. — The New York Giants veteran offensive linemen sent rookie Francis Mauigoa on a lap around The Greenbrier fields on Thursday to hype up the crowd before the first training camp practice open to fans. Harbaugh said he doesn’t believe it’s serious, but he had yet to receive the results on the tests Green underwent.Undrafted rookie defensive tackle Ben Barten was cut before practice, with linebacker Anfernee Orji taking his roster spot. Orji participated in the Giants’ minicamp in June as a tryout and was back for another workout Thursday before getting signed. An undrafted free agent out of Vanderbilt in 2023, Orji spent his first two seasons with the Saints, appearing in 16 games during the 2024 season. Orji joined the Titans (and current Giants defensive coordinator Dennard Wilson) last spring, but he suffered a torn ACL during training camp.Defensive tackle Roy Robertson-Harris, who is on the physically unable to perform list with a torn Achilles tendon, was absent as expected.Injury reportGreen is the only known injury from the first two practices of camp. Wide receiver Malik Nabers had a similar workload as the first day of camp as he rehabs his right knee. Nabers again participated in wide receiver drills and ran routes with no defenders on the field. He then did rehab work with a resistance training machine on a side field.
