Prime Infra and subsidiary Olympia Violago Water & Power Inc. (OVWPI) hosted executives from Kansai Electric Power Co., Inc. (KANSAI), Japan’s second-largest electric power company, for a visit to the Wawa pumped storage hydropower project in Rizal province.
Prime Infra president and CEO Guillaume Lucci welcomed KANSAI Hydropower Division General Manager Yuichi Yamane and Hydropower Division Development Department General Manager Koichi Ohta.
The visit followed an agreement signed by KANSAI to acquire a 14 percent equity interest in PMJVCo Holdings, Inc. (PMJVCo), the parent company of OVWPI, owner and operator of the Wawa project.
KANSAI operates four pumped storage hydropower plants in Japan with a combined capacity of 4,884 megawatts.FEATURED STORIES
