IHI Power Services Corp. Rebrands as Kyuden Energy Partners Following Acquisition by Japan's Kyuden Group
U.S. O&M Leader Joins Global Energy Giant to Meet America's Surging Demand for Reliable Power Generation
IHI Power Services Corp. (IPSC), a leading operator of power plants across the U.S., has a new name as it enters a new chapter. Effective today, IPSC officially becomes Kyuden Energy Partners Corporation, following the completion of its acquisition by Kyuden International Corporation (Kyuden International), a wholly owned subsidiary of Kyushu Electric Power Company—one of Japan's most powerful electric utilities and a cornerstone of the country’s energy infrastructure for over 70 years.
Behind the new name stands one of Japan's most formidable energy institutions. Kyushu Electric Power Company leads the Kyuden Group, its global energy enterprise, through which Kyuden International Corporation serves as the dedicated overseas investment arm — with an active presence across every major region, from New York and London to Dubai. For over 70 years, Kyushu Electric has powered eight million customers across thermal, hydro, nuclear and renewable assets, bringing to Kyuden Energy Partners a depth of institutional knowledge and capital resources that few global energy players can match.
