Real Madrid is in active negotiations to sign 21-year-old Spanish striker Carlos Espí from Levante UD, with the club looking to trigger his €25 million release clause. The deal, reported on July 30, 2026, would bring one of La Liga’s breakout stars to the Bernabéu.
Who is Carlos Espí
Espí is a 21-year-old forward born on July 24, 2005, standing at 1.94 meters, roughly 6’4″. He plays for Levante UD, a club that has been preparing for his departure since at least May 2026.
Last season, Espí scored between 11 and 13 La Liga goals, emerging as Levante’s top scorer. At one point during the campaign, he had notched seven league goals and two Copa del Rey goals. He also won La Liga’s Best Player of March award in 2026.
