The incident involved students from Mukhwantheli Secondary School, located within the Vhembe East Education District.
An accident occurred involving 26 learners who were travelling from school in a privately owned bakkie.
One learner succumbed to their injuries following the accident. While emergency services transported the injured students to the hospital via ambulance, two others were taken directly to Tshilidzini Hospital by their parents.
