From the 999 call to conviction, via critical forensics and identifying suspects, follow the cases as they unfold - in real time."Series Three returned to screens earlier this month as brand new episodes air every Tuesday and Wednesday at 9pm on BBC One. Last night's instalment (July 29), left viewers in tears with its heartbreaking scenes.‌The episode heard one killer's chilling confession to a 999 call handler before a harrowing investigation was launched into the death of a much loved mum.Police officers at the scene could later be seen in tears as they collected birthday presents for the mum's young sons who were set to celebrate their birthday without their mum.Taking to X, one person said about the new release: "He can’t have her, so no one can, including her children. Just gross. Hope he rots."‌Another penned: "This is so sad them poor little lads !
