Care Hospitals and Aster Prime Hospitals, on Thursday, launched ‘Pranaam’, a senior citizen-focused healthcare initiative aimed at improving access to personalised and continuous care for older adults. The programme seeks to support elderly patients beyond hospital treatment by focusing on continuity of care, emotional well-being, caregiver support and healthy ageing.Pranaam has been designed to simplify healthcare for elderly patients who often face challenges in navigating hospital services, coordinating investigations, attending follow-up appointments and managing chronic illnesses, particularly those living alone or depending on caregivers.Hyderabad District Collector Priyanka Ala said the Telangana government has been implementing several measures for senior citizens and that initiatives like Pranaam complement these efforts by promoting dignity, continuity of care, emotional support and healthy ageing through collaboration between the government, healthcare providers and communities.“Such initiatives reflect genuine care for our elders. I will extend my support in promoting this programme across the community so that more senior citizens can benefit from its services,” said Jubilee Hills MLA Naveen Yadav.
