Oracle and Google Cloud have joined forces to bring Google’s Gemini AI models directly into Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, giving thousands of enterprise customers access to some of the most capable AI tools on the market. The deal, announced on August 14, 2025, starts with the Gemini 2.5 series, including Gemini 2.5 Pro, Flash, and Flash-Lite, all available on-demand through OCI’s Generative AI services.

What the partnership actually delivers

The integration covers a broad set of AI capabilities including multimodal understanding, automated coding, agent creation, and comprehensive workflow automation. Enterprise teams can use Gemini to analyze text, images, and data simultaneously, build AI-powered assistants, and automate complex business processes, all without migrating off Oracle’s cloud.

Oracle is emphasizing data sovereignty and strict enterprise controls, which matters for the regulated industries in finance, healthcare, and government that make up a significant portion of Oracle’s customer base.

In April 2026, Oracle introduced the Oracle AI Database Agent for Gemini Enterprise, which lets users run natural-language queries against Oracle’s governed data without knowing SQL or moving data between systems.
