Isabelle suffered weeks of abuse, including 21 broken bones, before her death in September at her home in Thornaby, Teesside. Simpson was also convicted of sexually assaulting Isabelle, a charge from which Walker was cleared, alongside their convictions for murder and child cruelty. At Teesside Crown Court, Ms Justice Norton handed Simpson a minimum term of 28 years and six months, while Walker received a minimum of 22 years.
