Meta Platforms, Inc.
(NASDAQ:META) stock fell nearly 10% in Thursday's premarket session as investors weighed a second-quarter earnings miss and sharply higher AI spending plans.
Meta reported second-quarter revenue of $60.8 billion, topping the analyst consensus estimate of $59.5 billion.
However, adjusted earnings of $6.18 per share missed expectations of $7.13.
The company also raised the low end of its 2026 capital expenditure outlook to a range of $130 billion to $145 billion.
