When your nonprofit starts receiving millions in unsolicited meme coin donations, you’ve got a communications problem most charities would kill for. Giggle Academy, the free education platform founded by former Binance CEO Changpeng “CZ” Zhao, is now navigating exactly that situation, and it’s forced the organization to get very specific about what it does with the tokens showing up at its door.

The core message: Giggle Academy sells donated tokens to fund its operations. It has no token of its own, never launched one, and has no plans to.

The meme coin pipeline nobody asked for

Community members will create tokens in your honor whether you want them to or not. That’s precisely what happened with the GIGGLE token, a community-driven meme coin on the BNB Smart Chain that has no official connection to Giggle Academy whatsoever.

What makes this particular token interesting is its built-in donation mechanism. A percentage of trading fees, roughly 5%, gets automatically routed to Giggle Academy’s public donation address. The GIGGLE token alone generated approximately $900K in automated donation fees from a token with just a $5 million market cap. In one particularly wild stretch during September 2025, the academy received over $1.3 million in just 12 hours, primarily from a single meme coin. A subsequent month saw total contributions balloon to around $11 million worth of BNB.
