The State Bureau of Investigation, in cooperation with the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, is conducting a large-scale special operation, Honest Draft, as part of which investigative actions have been launched across more than 100 territorial centers of recruitment and social support at various levels.
According to Ukrinform, the SBI reported this.
Investigations are underway at territorial centers of recruitment and social support across most regions of the country.
Law enforcement officials are focusing primarily on cases of facilitating draft evasion in exchange for money, as well as instances where territorial centers of recruitment and social support personnel have exceeded their official authority, particularly in cases of beatings and torture of conscripts.
“This is a comprehensive effort to clean up the system, not a reaction to a single high-profile case. For many at the territorial centers of recruitment and social support, today is truly ‘Judgment Day,’” the bureau noted.
